In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Lucky Star.”
Description from today’s Daily Prompt: Today is your lucky day. You get three wishes, granted to you by The Daily Post. What are your three wishes and why?
1. World Peace. Like all the contestants from the classic “beauty pageant” movie, Miss Congeniality, I really want world peace as one of my three wishes. This world needs more understanding, compassion, respect and tolerance towards diversity and differences. Let’s erase hatred, ignorance, stupidity, violence and start spreading peace, love and harmony. Wouldn’t be nice to see the classic Coca Cola commercial where everyone sings in perfect harmony becoming a reality?
2. Power of Good Bye. I would like to say “good bye” to my grandparents who passed away when I was a small child. I was raised by both sets of my grandparents growing up. I miss their kindness, patience, wisdom and love very much. So I want to use this second wish and tell them one last time how much I have loved and missed them. Most of all, I want to thank them for what they have done for me growing up.
3. Bye Felicia. I have known many brave people battling, surviving and losing to diseases like cancer and AIDS. It will be my privilege to use my last wish and hoping to find cures for all these terrible diseases. Wouldn’t be nice to say “Bye Felicia” to cancer or AIDS one day without hesitation?
