You can spot “art” everywhere in New York City if you look around different neighborhoods closely. There are graffiti painted murals everywhere from Hells Kitchen to Harlem. Unique statues with rich stories are placed in local parks. Even the Empire State Building is inspired from Art Deco era, it stands proudly in Midtown and illuminates colorful lights every night.
This portrait of Beyonce was created with individual glass tiles and carefully placed on a wall. I found it inside the bathroom of a restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, Vinyl. Beyonce was smiling and wanted me to put a ring on her while I was urinating. Needless to say, I giggled incessantly looking at Beyonce and truly appreciated “art” in an unusual place.
