Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge: 2016 Week #3

I love visiting Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. To me this is the place to get and be inspired by endless displays of stunning arts, magnificent sculptures, rich histories and diverse cultures.

I stumble upon this bronzed sculpture by the contemporary American artist, Kiki Smith, and immediately am mesmerized by its odd position and composition.  This human sized sculpture is positioned high on the wall, and like Spider Man, it looks down on me in an upside down manner.

However, it is sculpture’s eyes that caught my attention. Looking at the glassy eyes directly, the sculpture is trying to convey messages to you with its intensive stares.  You can’t help it but give it your full attention at this moment.  To me, the eyes give this sculpture life and intensity.
